The lift gas must be pressurized to displace the liquids from the casing and allow to overcome the tubing backpressure at the deepest possible injection point. At surface the formation and lift gas are separated from liquids, then compressed where a portion is reinjeted to the GL wells and the remaining is used for other purposes or sold. The CGL has been used for many decades and commonly used in many fields worldwide; However, there are some conceptual and operational aspects that are not clearly understood and require a detailed review to ensure proper application of this method.

CGL is used in wells that cease to flow or to boost production in wells that can flow naturally. The design and optimization of the CGL system aims to reduce the average density with the purpose to reduce the bottom hole flowing pressure to increase the production rate. This method is particularly attractive due to its wide production rates, simple completion, easy valve replacement and robustness.

In order to have an adequate CGL operation, it is necessary to select the appropriate wells for its use based on the advantages and limitations of the method, understand each of its components, know the design / sizing process of the equipment, and its optimization.

take chapter 1 free

[67,78,79,71,84
76
0":"post-3298","1":"product","2":"type-product","3":"status-publish","4":"has-post-thumbnail","6":"product_cat-online-training","7":"product_cat-available","8":"product_cat-coming-soon","9":"product_cat-most-popular","10":"product_cat-training-online-incompany","11":"product_tag-english","13":"first","14":"instock","15":"sale","16":"sold-individually","17":"shipping-taxable","18":"purchasable","19":"product-type-simple
["GET
