The lifting gas must be pressurized to displace the liquid column or slug at deepest possible depth. At the surface the formation gas and the injected gas are separated from oil and water, then compressed where a part is sent back to the wells with GL and the rest is used in other processes or commercialized. IGL has been used for many decades and is widely used in some fields around the world; The Intermittent GL has different and more complex operating principles, design, operation and calculation than the continuous GL. Besides, the few existing commercial software are not as robust and reliable as those for continuous GL, for these reasons it is necessary to understand the conceptual details and operational to ensure proper application of this method.

IGL is used in wells with very low reservoir pressure that cannot flow in continuous GL. The design and optimization of the IGL system aims to accumulate and displace relatively small liquid plugs (400 to 900 feet), which allows to reduce the flowing bottom pressure below the reservoir pressure even when this is very low. This method is particularly attractive for continuous GL depleted wells because the well can be back into production with only a slickline operation to install a pilot valve.

To have an adequate intermittent GL operation it is necessary to select the appropriate wells. This selection criteria should be based on the advantages and limitations of the method, the understanding of each of its components and knowledge of the process of designing / dimensioning the equipment, and its optimization.

[67,79,84
76
0":"post-3310","1":"product","2":"type-product","3":"status-publish","4":"has-post-thumbnail","6":"product_cat-online-training","7":"product_cat-coming-soon","8":"product_cat-training-online-incompany","9":"product_tag-english","11":"first","12":"instock","13":"shipping-taxable","14":"product-type-external
["GET
