Houston, Texas. UPC Global have announced the creation of the Raised in Texas Cyclist Club (RIT), driven to integrate the Houston Area cyclists in the society through the support of campaigns to raise funds to support breast cancer research (Tour de Pink) and diabetes through the Association Diabetes Association (Tour de Cure)

“October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and our company wants to support the campaigns throuth our participation in these events fomenting health activities for health research. Tour de Pink and Tour de Cure do incredible work,” explains Henry Cumare. “Together, we believe that we can make a difference. Join our team and bike for a cause".

The iniciative has been supported by UPC Global, Z Zone Fitness Studio, and SignPro Graphics and Displays as the main sponsors of the cyclist club.

Since its inception in 2005, Tour de Pinkhas helped Pink Ribbons Project make a powerful impact within the Greater Houston Area through the efforts of dedicated riders, volunteers, sponsors and all those who pledge.

You helped get the wheels spinning for Tour de Pink, and we have helped many of our partners get rolling by helping to provide mobile mammography units out in the community to connect with patients where they live, work and socialize. Your funds also provided mammograms and further diagnostic testing at our partners’ various locations and improved the equipment and processes at these locations. This reduced wait times for appointments and care and helped patients better navigate an overwhelming process. You have helped make it possible for Pink Ribbons Project to gain and maintain a strong presence in and commitment to the breast cancer community.

We ride because we are proud to do our part to Stop Diabetes. We decided to team up to change the future and make a positive impact in the lives of those who are affected by diabetes. We are committed to ride and raise money in this inspirational event not because 29 million people in the United States have diabetes, but because we personally know some of them, and want to do something about it.

If you can't join us, support us!
