Economy Inverted Single Pack Stuffing Box IVSB
The lowest-profile stuffing box in the WSI Economy line at just 10" height. Inverted cone packing provides additional surface contact and improved wear characteristics versus standard upright cone designs. Distinctive misaligning feature reduces installation alignment requirements. Ideal for smaller pumping units with minimum stroke length.

Key Features
WHY THE IVSB
Lowest Profile Economy Design
At just 10" height, the IVSB is the shortest stuffing box in the WSI Economy line — 3-½" shorter than the SPSB. Essential for installations where the distance between the wellhead and carrier bar is critically limited.
Grease Zerk Standard
Grease fitting included as standard. Optional E-LUG™ Environmental Lube Upper Gland or S-ORG™ Oil Reservoir Gland available for enhanced lubrication and environmental compliance.
Inverted Cone Packing
The inverted cone packing design places the cone in the opposite orientation to standard upright designs. This provides additional surface contact between the packing and the polished rod — increasing the sealing area and improving wear characteristics.
Smaller Pumping Units
The IVSB is specifically designed for smaller pumping units with minimum stroke lengths — where the compact 10" height makes installations possible that would be impractical with full-height economy stuffing boxes.
Misalignment Tolerance
WSI's distinctive misaligning feature allows the IVSB to accommodate moderate pumping unit misalignment during installation — reducing setup time and minimising lateral stress on the polished rod.
Corrosion-Resistant Coatings
Optional corrosion-resistant coatings available for H₂S, salt-water, and chemical environments. Contact customer service for coating specifications and lead times.

Environmental Lube Upper Gland
Secondary seal above any Classic style stuffing box. Connects to ECSS™ Environmental Shutdown Switch and anti-pollution tank. Rod sizes 1"–1-¾".
Standard Oil Reservoir Gland
1 quart oil reservoir for pumping/flowing wells. Split cone wiper controls oil film on rod. Connects to ECSS™ shutdown switch. Fits any Classic style stuffing box including SPSB.
Polished Rod Lubricator
1 quart reservoir reduces friction heat between polished rod and packing — extending packing life significantly. Especially important for wells on timer controls.
